Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Sports Coach / Activity Leader to join our team in Erith. This role involves engaging with children and young people through organised sports and recreational activities, fostering teamwork, confidence, and physical development. The ideal candidate will have experience in sports coaching and teaching, with a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive environment for all participants. Responsibilities

Plan, organise, and deliver engaging sports sessions and activities tailored to different age groups and abilities
Provide clear instructions and demonstrations to ensure participants understand activities and safety procedures
Encourage participation, teamwork, and fair play among attendees
Monitor the safety of all participants during activities, ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines
Adapt activities as needed to accommodate varying skill levels and special needs
Maintain equipment and ensure the activity area is clean, organised, and safe at all times
Foster a positive environment that promotes enjoyment, confidence, and physical activity
Collaborate with colleagues to develop new programmes and improve existing activities

Skills

Proven experience in sports coaching or activity leadership, with a strong understanding of various sports disciplines
Effective teaching skills with the ability to communicate clearly and motivate participants of all ages
Organisational skills to plan sessions efficiently and manage multiple activities simultaneously
Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues in a professional manner
Ability to adapt activities for diverse needs and skill levels
Enthusiasm for promoting active lifestyles and encouraging participation in sport and recreation programmes
