Full job description

The Role

The British Ironwork Centre is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Stock Planner to support our supply chain and purchasing operations. You’ll work closely with the purchasing, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure stock levels are accurate and aligned with business demand. This role suits someone who is analytical, highly organised, and comfortable working with data in a busy environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Monitoring stock levels to ensure availability across all product lines
Planning and forecasting stock requirements based on sales trends and demand
Identifying potential stock shortages or overstock issues and taking action
Working closely with the purchasing team to manage replenishment and ordering
Analysing sales and stock data to support decision-making
Managing stock allocation across locations where required
Supporting product launches, promotions, and seasonal demand planning
Maintaining accurate records within internal systems and spreadsheets
Liaising with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely stock delivery
Carrying out general planning and administrative tasks as required

What You’ll Bring

Previous experience in stock control, planning, or a similar role is an advantage
Experience with order management systems is desirable
A strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Confidence working with data and spreadsheets
Good communication skills and the ability to work across teams
A proactive and problem-solving approach
