Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Chef/Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience working in busy kitchen environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills, contribute to creating delicious meals, and ensure high standards of food safety and presentation. Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely service during busy periods
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all aspects of food handling and storage
Organise ingredients and kitchen tools efficiently to optimise workflow
Ensure all food is presented attractively and served at the appropriate temperature
Support the team in cleaning and sanitising workstations, utensils, and equipment
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to minimise risks within the kitchen environment
Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service during service hours

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation
Good communication skills to work effectively within a team
Knowledge of various cooking techniques and culinary styles is desirable
Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous
