We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Chef/Cook to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely service during busy periods
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all aspects of food handling and storage
- Organise ingredients and kitchen tools efficiently to optimise workflow
- Ensure all food is presented attractively and served at the appropriate temperature
- Support the team in cleaning and sanitising workstations, utensils, and equipment
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to minimise risks within the kitchen environment
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service during service hours
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and culinary styles is desirable
