Senior Associate – Order Management
The Order Management Senior Associate plays a key role in ensuring customer orders progress accurately and efficiently from receipt through booking at Ciena. This position contributes directly to customer satisfaction by enabling timely order processing and effective resolution of order-related issues. The role operates within the Order Management group based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, with close collaboration across global teams, including the CALA region.
How you will make an impact:

Process customer orders from indexing through booking in alignment with company policies and procedures.

Review incoming orders for accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to system entry.

Track order status and identify potential delays or issues to enable on-time booking.

Communicate order status, issues, and resolutions with Commercial Management, Client Managers, and Account teams.

Act as a primary point of contact for order-related inquiries and booking status updates.

Coordinate with Customer Order Fulfillment teams to prevent downstream delivery impacts in accordance with executable order policies.

Identify opportunities to improve order management processes, workflows, and system effectiveness.
The must haves:

Education: Degree in business or a related field.

Experience: 3+ years of experience in a service- or product-based company environment.

Application of detailed data entry and order processing practices with a focus on accuracy.

Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.

Utilization of Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools.

Experience serving internal or external stakeholders on order- or customer-related inquiries.

Experience within the telecommunications industry.

Utilization of Oracle systems in an order management or transactional environment.
