BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The Inbound Logistics Co-ordinator is responsible for managing the high-volume inbound flow of raw materials, components, and finished goods into a multi-site manufacturing operation. The role ensures cost-effective, compliant, and on-time delivery of inbound freight while maintaining robust customs, audit, and regulatory standards.
Working hours: Monday - Thursday 8.30am to 5pm, Friday 8.30am to 2pm (37.5 hours per week)
Location: Lisburn, BT28 2FL
*This role is office based at Decora Head Office in Lisburn.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Co-ordinate all inbound shipments across multiple manufacturing and warehouse sites.
- Allocate inbound shipments to the most appropriate transport mode based on cost, lead time, and material type.
- Manage high-volume containerised, groupage, and courier freight.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays or risks.
- Act as primary point of contact for freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs agents.
- Prepare and manage TSS (Trader Support Service) declarations for inbound movements. Manage and ensure duty reimbursement for GB-NI inbounds.
- Maintain compliant customs documentation and support inspections or clearance queries.
- Support internal and external audits and maintain auditable logistics records.
- Work closely with purchasing, production, warehouse, and finance teams across multiple sites.
- Track inbound logistics KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
- Travel between sites as required.
- Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- 3 years’ experience in an inbound logistics or supply chain role within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing multi-site inbound logistics operations.
- Hands-on experience with freight forwarders, shipping lines and hauliers.
- Practical experience managing TSS clearances and customs processes including duty reimbursement for GB-NI shipments.
- Experience supporting internal and external audits.
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages, in particular Excel .
- Detail-focused with a strong compliance mindset.
- Proactive and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Commercially aware with a focus on cost control and service performance.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
- Experience gained in import background.
- Knowledge of HMRC import/export regulations.
- Previous experience working within a FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Microsoft Navision.
- Experience of negotiating.
