Join our Growing Team
Practice Manager
Lead with confidence. Inspire your team. Help shape a successful new dental practice.
An exciting opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to join our newly established, modern dental clinic and play a central role in its continued growth and success.
Opened earlier this year, Aspire Dental Centre is a purpose-built practice equipped with modern technology and systems. As our patient base and team continue to grow, you will take ownership of day-to-day operations while helping us develop the processes, standards and culture needed for the future.
This is a genuine leadership role for someone who enjoys leading people, improving systems, solving problems and delivering measurable results. Success will be reflected not simply in how busy the practice is, but in the improvements you help achieve for patients, colleagues and the business.
The role
1. Operational leadership
- Lead the day-to-day running and operational management of the practice.
- Optimise diary utilisation, chair utilisation, patient flow and the overall patient journey.
- Develop and implement reliable systems that improve efficiency, consistency and accountability as the practice grows.
- Maintain high standards across reception, administration and clinical support.
- Oversee stock, suppliers, rotas and other operational requirements.
- Use Dentally and the practice’s CRM systems effectively to support practice operations and patient management.
2. Business performance
Monitor performance data, identify opportunities and deliver practical, measurable improvements. Relevant indicators may include:
- Diary and chair utilisation, patient flow and appointment availability.
- Failed-to-attend and did-not-attend rates.
- Treatment enquiries, conversion, outstanding treatment plans and patient follow-up.
- Patient retention, communication and engagement.
- Private revenue, costs and wider practice performance.
3. Team leadership
- Lead, support, motivate and develop the practice team.
- Set clear expectations, encourage accountability and hold effective team meetings.
- Manage staff rotas, appraisals, performance reviews and day-to-day team matters.
- Support recruitment, induction, onboarding and continuing development as the team expands.
- Build a positive, supportive and high-performing culture across clinical and non-clinical colleagues.
4. Compliance and governance
- Help maintain high standards of CQC compliance and practice governance.
- Ensure appropriate systems are maintained for HTM 01-05, GDPR, health and safety, infection prevention and control, audits and practice policies.
- Keep procedures, records and team training up to date and support a culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage patient queries and concerns professionally, sensitively and effectively.
Working with the owners and clinical team
- Work closely with the practice owners and clinical team to achieve growth, operational and patient-care goals.
- Take a proactive approach to challenges, make confident day-to-day decisions and propose practical solutions.
- Help shape the practice’s systems, standards and culture as the business develops.
About you
You will be an organised, proactive and approachable manager who is comfortable taking ownership and managing several priorities. You should be able to demonstrate:
- Strong people-leadership skills and experience of developing a team.
- Experience managing day-to-day operations, systems and performance.
- Confidence using data, KPIs and digital systems to make improvements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Commercial awareness, sound judgement and the confidence to work independently.
- A professional, patient-focused and hands-on approach.
- The ability to build effective relationships with clinical and non-clinical colleagues.
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in a new and growing environment.
Previous dental practice management experience, knowledge of NHS and private dentistry, experience in a CQC-regulated environment and familiarity with Dentally would be advantageous. However, we also welcome applications from strong managers in other healthcare, professional, hospitality, retail or service-led settings who can demonstrate transferable leadership, operational and compliance skills.
Why join Aspire Dental Centre?
- Join a new, modern and growing dental clinic at an exciting stage of its development.
- Have genuine responsibility and influence over how the practice operates and grows.
- Develop systems, processes and patient communications from an early stage.
- Build and develop a strong team in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.
- Work with modern equipment, digital systems and up-to-date technology.
- Develop your own role alongside the growth of the business.
- Benefit from free on-site parking.
Working pattern and salary
