Radio – Service Delivery Engineer

About Servicom (High Tech) Ltd:

Servicom (High Tech) Ltd provide specialist communications equipment and services to a wide range of sectors including construction, events, manufacturing, and logistics. With a strong focus on operational excellence and service delivery, we operate in a regulated environment where data protection, health & safety, and radio licensing compliance are business-critical.

Role Overview:

Working within the Operations Team and reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, a Service Delivery Engineer is a key position within the Company. The successful candidate will be delivering engineering services to our varied clientele. Configuring radio devices, installing radio systems and radio infrastructure, as well as completing component level repairs are many of the day to day functions of this role.

The ideal candidate will be able to follow the processes in place and will in time be able to offer suggestions on how processes can become more efficient. We are a business that drives continual improvement; therefore we welcome opinions from all colleagues within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

· Configuring radio units using programming software

· Handling support queries for existing customers

· Completing handset repairs, including soldering and repairs down to component level

· Ensuring that clientele records are updated

· Completing external site/field visits

· Completing installations to a high standard

· Completing RF Surveys and preventative maintenance inspections of radio infrastructure

Required Skills and Experience:

· Exceptional attention to detail

· A team player who strives to improve and develop themselves

· Passion for wanting to learn and own work entirely

· A quality over quantity mindset, driving consistent results

· Strong communication and customer service skills

· Commercially aware

· Dependability and ownership

· 1-2 years’ experience in a service delivery environment/role, including field-based visits

Hours: 08:45-17:00 Mon-Thu, 08:45-16:00 Fri

Holiday: 23 days plus statutory bank holidays

Probation period: 6 months with an option to extend, based on performance

Salary expectations: £27k-£38K commensurate with experience

Location: Redditch, B98

Start date: Immediate, however willing to wait for required notice period

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £27,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
