Full job description

£32,000 to £36,800 depending on experience plus excellent benefits (FTE £40,000 to £46,000)

30 hours - 4 days per week

Office based in Thame, Oxfordshire

Harrison Catering Services Ltd is a privately owned contract catering business, they are looking to appoint a Payroll Supervisor to join their payroll team on a fixed term basis to cover for maternity leave.

Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, this is a key role to ensure timely and accurate processing of the monthly payroll for 1800 employees. The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the payroll team of 5, running reports for monthly payroll, pension, ONS and costing reports. The successful applicant will work closely with the Payroll Manager and assist site managers with the processes to complete the payroll accurately and on time.

The Payroll Supervisor will be responsible for the following:

· Support the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate processing of the monthly payroll

· Upload bulk data uploads into the payroll system

· Support and train new site managers in the payroll process

· Take responsibility for the payroll of new site openings and co-ordinate the transfer of TUPE starters onto the payroll

· Complete the administration of Attachment of Earnings and other associated DWP forms

· Liaising with employees and site managers to resolve questions

· Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and company health and safety procedures

· Adhering to all company rules, regulations, policies, procedures and provisions of contract

· Providing support and cover for other members of the payroll team as required

The ideal candidate will have good written and verbal communication skills and have previous relevant experience in payroll at a supervisory level. MS Office Excel skills at an intermediate level and Word skills to include mail merge. A team player who is organised, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.

Previous knowledge of MHR Itrent platform would be an advantage.
