Cambium Horticulture is seeking a motivated, experienced gardener or horticulturalist to join our team on a temporary basis for approximately 6–12 weeks.
We deliver high-quality horticultural services across private estates, commercial landscapes, and prestigious residential developments. The Role
Working alongside our experienced horticultural team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing a wide variety of landscapes to the highest standard.
Your duties will include:
Professional garden and landscape maintenance
Planting, pruning, deadheading and seasonal horticultural tasks
Weed management, mulching and soil improvement
Lawn care, edging and border maintenance
Safe operation of hand tools, power tools and horticultural equipment
Irrigation installation, maintenance and monitoring where required
Monitoring plant health and identifying pests, diseases or nutrient deficiencies
Assisting with planting schemes and landscape improvements
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
Delivering excellent workmanship while working independently and as part of a team
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous professional gardening or horticultural experience
Good plant identification and plant care knowledge
A strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail
The ability to work efficiently outdoors in all weather conditions
Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
Physical fitness suitable for manual outdoor work
A full UK driving licence (preferred, but not essential)
Desirable
RHS or equivalent horticultural qualifications
Experience with commercial landscape maintenance
PA1/PA6 spraying certificates
Trailer towing or machinery experience
