Full-time (37.5 hrs per week), Permanent - Office Based Role
Duties will include:
Payroll Responsibilities:
· Weekly payroll
- Summarise, check, and consolidate weekly timesheets
- Calculating statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP)
- Processing pension contributions and auto-enrolment
- Submitting PAYE and HMRC information
- Resolving employee payroll queries
- Producing payslips and payroll reports
Sales & Purchase Ledger Responsibilities:
· Purchase Ledger
- Purchase ledger (code, post, and upload supplier invoices to the purchase ledger)
- Perform statement reconciliations and process credit card transactions
- Prepare and submit BACS payments
- Petty Cash reconciliations and control
· Sales Ledger
- Raising invoices and credit notes
- Post sales ledger receipts and resolve customer account payment queries
- Credit control
- Maintain supplier and customer records
· Other Purchase & Sales Leger Responsibilities
- Acting as the first point of contact for clients regarding their financial accounting and bookkeeping records, providing telephone and email support.
- Assisting with month-end accounts (sales, purchase ledger report reconciliation with Sage and portal, prepayments)
Skills Cross Country Carriers Look For
- Past experience with purchase ledger, sales ledger, and payroll
- AAT qualification or Qualified by Experience
- Knowledge of HMRC regulations
- Understanding of pensions and statutory payments
- Sage Payroll, Sage 50, or similar accounting software
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and confidentiality
