About the Role
We are looking for an exceptional Operations Manager to join our team at our Dereham club.
This is a key leadership role within the business, responsible for ensuring the club operates to the highest standards every single day. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads from the front, and has a passion for developing people and driving performance.
This role is heavily focused on people management and operational excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team, creating accountability, and ensuring operational tasks are consistently completed to a high standard.
We are looking for a leader who understands that great management is not about doing every task themselves—it’s about building, coaching, and motivating a team to perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, motivate, and develop the club team to deliver exceptional standards
Create a high-performance culture built on accountability and ownership
Support team development through coaching, feedback, and regular performance conversations
Effectively delegate responsibilities and ensure tasks are completed to expectation
Address performance issues proactively and constructively
Operational Excellence
Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the club
Drive high standards across cleanliness, presentation, maintenance, and member experience
Conduct regular club walks to identify areas for improvement and maintain standards
Ensure all operational processes are completed consistently and on time
Standards, Compliance & Detail
Maintain excellent operational standards across all areas of the business
Ensure health & safety procedures and company policies are followed
Monitor compliance and quickly resolve issues where standards fall below expectation
Maintain strong attention to detail in all areas of club operation
Campaign & Systems Execution
Execute company campaigns and initiatives effectively using internal systems and software
Ensure team engagement and completion of operational tasks linked to campaigns
Support implementation of new processes and continuous improvements
Problem Solving & Ownership
Take initiative and solve problems quickly and effectively
Identify issues before they escalate and take action
Bring solutions, ideas, and improvements to support club performance

Pay: £28,808.00 per year

Experience:
- Duty Manager/Operations: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Level 2 Fitness Instructor Qualification (preferred)
- Level 3 Personal Training Qualification (preferred)
