Specifications Technologist (m/f/d)

The MMM begins with you: Join a team that brings together tradition and innovation – and let your passion for food lead the way.

Your tasks include:

Coordinate the gathering of information for the creation of new product specifications
Develop and maintain precise product specifications, ensuring they are delivered on time, in full, and in compliance with regulatory, customer, and quality standards
Transfer specification data into specific customer formats using various customer specification systems/portals
Liaise with customers and suppliers to address technical queries and conduct accurate risk assessments
Ensure new product-related information meets legal requirements and safety standards before it is added to the specification
Keep relevant site documents updated, controlled, and managed as required by the role
Provide documentation to customers, including policies, procedures, allergens, etc.
Stay up to date with UK and EU food laws
Complete customer documentation, such as SAQs and allergen risk assessments
Review and approve packaging and labeling
Provide technical support for new products
Complete documentation for product certifications (e.g., Halal, Kosher, Organic) and customer-specific documentation
Maintain accurate records

What you bring with you:

A strong multi-tasker with a technical or quality background in food manufacturing and a degree in food sciences
Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with excellent attention to detail and strong numerical and analytical skills
A logical, systematic approach to problem-solving with good attention to detail
Understanding of GMP principles, global food safety initiatives, production processes, raw materials, allergens, and finished products
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Motivated with a “can-do” attitude, solution-focused, and willing to take on new challenges
Enthusiastic with a strong work ethic, keeping up to date with food legislation changes.
Organized, methodical, with excellent administrative and communication skills.
