Job Overview
1. Role Purpose & Overview
At Loadpoint Limited, we design and manufacture world-class, high-precision micro-machining and air bearing solutions. We are a dedicated, tight-knit team of 32 employees experiencing rapid business growth. As part of an international group with our parent company in China, we serve a diverse global customer base. We are currently in an exciting growth and recovery phase.
We are seeking a highly resilient, proactive, and hands-on Management Accountant to take
ownership of our financial operations across our two merged sites in Cricklade and Ferndown. Working closely with the General Manager, you will manage our day-to-day finances, lead budgeting and forecasting, ensure HMRC tax compliance, and supervise one direct report (Bookkeeper/Cashier). Because we are a lean, multi-site organization, you will also act as a vital operational bridge—actively collaborating with site managers to extract operational data and ensuring robust compliance during external financial and internal quality audits (ISO).
2. Core Functional Responsibilities ("What You Will Do")
A. Financial Accounting, Costing, and Controls
● Multi-Site Accounts Maintenance: Maintain, streamline, and continuously manage the unified financial accounts for both the Cricklade and Ferndown sites.
● Financial Rectification: Perform regular, meticulous reviews of accounting entries to identify, correct, and resolve historical bookkeeping errors or system gaps.
● Direct Report Supervision: Manage, support, and mentor the on-site Bookkeeper, overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and daily banking operations.
B. Budgeting, Forecasting, and Cash Flow Management
● Budgeting & Variance Analysis: Lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes. Actively guide and educate non-financial site managers to help them
understand and adhere to departmental budgets.
● Proactive Cash Flow Forecasting: Produce highly reliable, forward-looking cash flow projections. This requires actively collaborating with, and driving data extraction from, operational and sales managers regarding sales pipelines, capital expenditures, and shipping schedules.
C. Audit Coordination & Compliance
● External Audits: Act as the primary interface for external financial auditors, preparing comprehensive year-end documentation and resolving complex audit queries
professionally.
● Internal Quality Audits: Collaborate with localized teams to ensure all processed payroll, personnel matrices, and office administrative workflows meet strict ISO audit quality
standards.
D. Payroll, Taxation & HR Support
● Payroll Administration: Own the monthly payroll processing workflow for all 32 employees, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
● Tax Compliance: Complete and submit HMRC tax returns, VAT filings, and corporate tax documentation in strict compliance with UK regulations.
● Localized HR Support: Manage basic internal HR administration (such as onboarding paperwork, maintaining skills matrices, and training hub guidelines) as the key internal contact, supported by our external HR advisory consultants.
3. Person Specification & Requirements ("Who You Are")
● Sector Experience: Proven track record as a Management Accountant, specifically within a manufacturing or production environment. Experience managing consolidated multi-site accounts is highly desirable.
● Key Accounting Expertise: Strong practical experience in cost accounting (inventory valuation, work-in-progress, and cost of goods sold), complex budgeting, and preparing documentation for financial audits.
● Qualifications: Part-qualified or fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent), or qualified by experience with a strong manufacturing background.
● Proactive & Resilient Communicator: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to diplomatically but firmly extract critical financial data from busy, non-financial operational staff across different sites.
● Educational Mindset: Patient and capable of explaining financial reports, cost
implications, and budgets to operational supervisors who do not have an accounting background.
● Extreme Integrity & Hands-on Adaptability: Absolute commitment to professional ethics (working strictly "by the book"). Comfortable wearing multiple hats—balancing strategic financial planning with hands-on bookkeeping and administrative tasks when required in a lean team.
4. Career Progression Pathway
This is a high-visibility position offering a rare, holistic view of how an international
manufacturing business operates and recovers. By directly managing the financial engine ofboth sites and working hand-in-hand with the General Manager and group stakeholders, you will develop a deep commercial understanding of our business. For a high-performing financial professional who shows strong leadership, improves operational reporting, and establishes clean financial controls, this role serves as a natural launchpad into senior financial management or commercial leadership positions within Loadpoint as we continue our global expansion.
