We’re looking for a Senior CAD Technician to work within our Design function.
Location: Derby – This role offers hybrid working, combining office attendance with home-based working.
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £40,000 - £56,000 (Depending on experience)
Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint a Senior CAD Technician to join our Design team.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, with a strong technical background and the ability to contribute to the delivery of high-quality design solutions. Experience within the water or utilities sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
Responsibilities:
- Work to project controls, guidelines and procedures
- Support the Design Lead/CAD Manager and other team members in undertaking a wide range of design related tasks
- Undertake design, and modelling activities using Autodesk Civil 3D or other third-party software packages where appropriate (ie. Autodesk Revit, Navisworks)
- Supporting the adherence of BIM Procedures on relevant projects
- Production of AutoCAD drawings in accordance with the CAD procedures
- Assisting with the production of project documentation, and reports
About you:
- HNC/HND in Engineering, or relevant discipline (or a similar approved qualification)
- Computer literate and conversant with Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk Navisworks and associated 3rd party packages, and MS Office suite
- Basic project management understanding in a multi-disciplinary project environment
