Full job description

SKV Motors – Romford, Essex

Three days per week | 9:00am–6:00pm
£15,862 basic salary + uncapped commission
OTE £27,000–£30,000+
Opportunity to progress into a full-time role

SKV Motors is a fast-growing independent used-car dealership operating from a large indoor showroom in Romford. We hold approximately 60 quality vehicles, specialising predominantly in BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi.

We are looking for a genuine salesperson—someone who can talk confidently to anyone, build rapport quickly and turn enquiries into completed sales.

Our ideal candidate will have previous car-sales experience. However, we will also consider strong salespeople from telesales, telephone sales, estate agency, recruitment, finance, B2B or another target-driven sales environment.

Previous sales experience is essential

The Role

You will manage customers through the complete sales process, from their initial enquiry to collecting their vehicle.

Your responsibilities will include:

Responding to telephone, WhatsApp, email and online enquiries.
Understanding each customer’s vehicle, budget, finance and part-exchange requirements.
Arranging appointments, video viewings and test drives.
Presenting vehicles confidently and explaining their main benefits.
Following up every opportunity, including missed appointments and undecided customers.
Overcoming objections and confidently asking for the sale.
Recommending alternative vehicles when a customer’s first choice is unsuitable.
Passing clear vehicle requirements to our buying team when we do not have the right car in stock.
Explaining finance, warranties and protection products accurately.
Keeping customer notes and follow-up tasks updated in DealerKit.
Working towards vehicle-sales and product targets pro-rated to three working days.
Providing a professional customer experience from enquiry through to handover.

What We Are Looking For

At least one year of target-driven sales experience.
Car-sales experience is strongly preferred.
A natural ability to communicate, persuade and close.
Confidence speaking with customers by telephone and face-to-face.
Strong and consistent follow-up habits.
A quick learner who can develop excellent vehicle and product knowledge.
Motivation to achieve targets and maximise commission.
Good organisation and personal accountability.
A full UK manual driving licence.
Availability to work three full days, including at least one weekend day.

What We Offer

£15,862 basic salary.
Uncapped commission and performance bonuses.
OTE of £27,000–£30,000+ depending on performance.
Approximately 60 quality vehicles available to sell.
Training on our vehicles, finance products, warranties and sales process.
Genuine opportunity to progress into a full-time position based on performance and business growth.
