Job Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to support the operations and delivery of our domiciliary care services at Harmony Homecare Suffolk. The Deputy Manager will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained, overseeing daily operations and supporting a team of caregivers.

Responsibilities:

Support Care Delivery: Assist in developing and implementing personalised care plans for clients, ensuring their individual needs and preferences are met effectively.
Team Supervision: Supervise and support caregivers, ensuring they provide compassionate and high-quality care in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Operational Oversight: Assist in the day-to-day management of domiciliary care services, including scheduling, resource allocation, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Client Support: Collaborate with healthcare professionals and external agencies to coordinate holistic care and support for clients, fostering positive relationships with clients and their families.
Assessment and Monitoring: Conduct regular assessments of client needs and monitor their well-being, making necessary adjustments to care plans in consultation with the Registered Manager.
Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and guidance to the care team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development, including training for caregivers and office staff.
Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
Emergency Response: Assist in managing emergencies and unforeseen situations, ensuring swift and appropriate responses to maintain client safety and well-being.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in domiciliary care management or a similar role.
Solid understanding of care practices, regulations, and policies relevant to domiciliary care services.
Experience with Access Care Planning and people planner (prefered)
NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient computer skills for effective management and reporting.
Ability to train caregivers and office staff to enhance their skills and performance.
Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to delivering person-centered care.
Ability to effectively manage resources, prioritize tasks, and handle challenges in a dynamic environment.
