Job Introduction

We’re looking for compassionate, motivated Band 5 Community Nurses to join our friendly Gravesend Alliance Team. You’ll be part of a supportive and forward-thinking group of professionals who are passionate about making a real difference in community healthcare.

Whether you’re newly qualified or already experienced, we’ll help you thrive through our award-winning Preceptorship Scheme – a structured mix of face-to-face sessions, eLearning, and workshops designed to develop your confidence and clinical skills.

Our base at Gravesham Community Hospital is ideally located just a short walk from St George’s Shopping Centre, surrounded by cafés, restaurants, and great local amenities – making it a convenient and pleasant place to work from.

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) within a team that provides care 7 days a week between 08:00 – 20:00, ensuring flexibility and balance across shifts.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.

Main Responsibilities

As a valued member of our team, you’ll:

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes and community settings.
Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Support patients and families throughout their care journey, promoting dignity, choice, and independence.
Use your strong communication and organisational skills to deliver efficient, compassionate care.
Contribute ideas to continuously improve our services and ensure every patient experience is a positive one.

The Ideal Candidate

Are a Registered Nurse (NMC/1st level registration).
Are confident using IT systems and familiar with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Have a flexible, proactive approach to work and a genuine passion for community nursing.
