We are seeking an enthusiastic, practical and self-motivated Gardener & Horticulturist to join Jekka's Herb Farm.
About the Role
This is a varied and rewarding role combining gardening, horticulture and general support activities across the Herb Farm. Working alongside Jekka McVicar VMH, you will help care for Jekka's Herb Garden, Jekka's Herbetum and our collection of over 400 varieties of herbs.
As Jekka's enters a new chapter, our focus is shifting from large-scale plant production towards preserving and sharing over forty years of herb-growing knowledge through our gardens, herb experiences and specialist herb collection. This role will play an important part in caring for the gardens and living collection at the heart of Jekka's.
We are a small family business and are looking for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, working independently and getting stuck in. This role will suit someone who can identify what needs doing, maintain high standards and take pride in caring for the gardens and plant collection without needing close supervision.
We welcome applications from enthusiastic gardeners looking to develop their horticultural knowledge, as well as experienced horticulturists seeking a varied and rewarding role in a unique setting.
