Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team. As a Sandwich Maker, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality food to our customers while providing excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including chopping vegetables and preparing sauces.
- Engage with customers to take orders and provide recommendations, employing upselling techniques where appropriate.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Conduct regular checks on stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive and efficient working environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or a culinary role is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cooking techniques is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to ensure high standards of hygiene are maintained.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing inventory effectively.
