Leisure Team Leader
Location: Devona Spa
Salary: £27,607 per year
Job Type: Full-time 40-hours per week| Permanent
Hours: Includes mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
About the Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Leisure Team Leader to join our busy, premium spa facility. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about customer service, enjoys leading people, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
As a Leisure Team Leader, you'll lead by example, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the spa while supporting and motivating the team to deliver an outstanding customer experience. You'll help maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness and service across all areas of the centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and support a team of Leisure Attendants.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer enquiries professionally.
- Assist with the daily operation of the spa, ensuring all areas are safe, clean and welcoming.
- Supervise staff on shift, allocating duties and monitoring performance.
- Support recruitment, induction, training and ongoing development of team members.
- Carry out opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, safeguarding, pool plant and operational procedures.
- Complete routine facility checks, accident reporting and operational paperwork.
- Respond confidently and effectively to emergencies following company procedures.
- Work closely with the management team to achieve operational and financial targets.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in a leisure, hospitality or customer service environment.
- Experience supervising or leading a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
- A proactive, positive and flexible approach to work.
- Confidence in making decisions and solving problems.
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
Desirable Qualifications
- Pool Emergency Responder and First Aid at Work Qualifications (training will be provided)
- Pool Plant Operator qualification. (desirable, training can be provided)
