About the Role
Morgan & Bond are seeking an experienced and reliable Fencer to join our growing responsive repairs team delivering works across social housing properties throughout Birmingham.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of fencing repairs, renewals and installations to occupied and void residential properties, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, safely, and within agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out fencing repairs and full fence replacements to domestic properties.
- Install timber fencing including:
- Feather edge fencing
- Closeboard fencing
- Overlap panel fencing
- Picket fencing
- Gates and gate posts
- Remove and dispose of damaged fencing materials safely.
- Set new concrete and timber posts.
- Carry out minor associated groundwork and excavation works.
- Complete works in occupied homes whilst maintaining excellent customer service.
- Accurately record completed work using handheld devices.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Work efficiently to achieve programme and productivity targets.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fencer or Multi-Trade Operative with fencing expertise.
- Ability to install and repair all common domestic fencing systems.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- CSCS Card.\
- Experience working within social housing maintenance contracts.
Desirable
- NRSWA / Street Works qualification.
- Basic skills in other trades such as groundwork, brickwork or landscaping.
