Tearoom Manager

Arley Estate, Worcestershire

Salary – Circa £30k dependant on experience

Hours – 37.5 hours per week, working between Monday to Sunday including regular weekends and Bank Holidays.

Do you love great coffee, happy customers, leading brilliant teams, and making things run like clockwork?

We're looking for an energetic, hands-on Tearoom Manager to take the lead at our much-loved Garden Tearoom. Nestled within the stunning grounds of Arley Arboretum, our tearoom is more than just a place for coffee and cake—it's a destination in its own right and often the highlight of our visitors' day.

If you're the kind of person who thrives in a busy hospitality environment, enjoys developing people, spots opportunities before anyone else, and believes every guest deserves a warm welcome, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

No two days are quite the same, but you can expect to:

Lead and inspire a fantastic front-of-house team to deliver outstanding customer experiences every day.
Keep service flowing smoothly, whether it's a quiet weekday morning or a packed summer weekend.
Work closely with our Estate Cook to ensure our delicious food and drinks are always looking their best and fully stocked.
Bring afternoon teas, seasonal specials, and tearoom events to life.
Manage rotas, recruitment, training, and team development, helping everyone perform at their best.
Keep a close eye on budgets, stock, sales, and profitability while reducing waste and improving efficiency.
Champion food safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
Turn customer feedback into opportunities to make the visitor experience even better.

What we’re looking for

You'll be someone who:

Has at least 3 years' hospitality management experience.
Loves leading and motivating teams.
Is passionate about exceptional customer service.
Can stay calm, organised, and positive when things get busy.
Understands stock control, budgeting, and commercial performance.
Has experience managing food safety, allergens, and HACCP procedures.
Enjoys finding creative ways to grow sales and delight visitors.
