Lead HR Advisor (Central HR Team) - Maternity cover 1 year fixed term

We’re looking for an experienced and confident Lead HR Advisor to join our Central HR Team, providing high-quality HR support across our schools. This is a key senior role where you’ll partner closely with Headteachers and senior leaders, leading on complex employee relations casework and ensuring consistent, compliant HR practice.
About the role
You will:
- Lead on employee relations casework (disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and investigations)
- Act as a trusted adviser to school leaders, offering practical, solution-focused HR guidance
- Support hearings and act as Investigating Officer where required
- Promote consistency, compliance and best practice across the Trust
- Deliver HR training and contribute to workforce development and policy improvement
- Build strong relationships with Headteachers and SLT, supporting effective people management
About you
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has significant HR advisory experience, ideally in complex casework
- Is CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent)
- Has strong knowledge of employment law and ACAS guidance
- Is confident, credible and able to influence senior stakeholders
- Can manage a varied workload and make sound, fair decisions

Pay: £36,363.00-£39,152.00 per year
