About Us
Specialized Horsebox Components has been supplying bespoke and specialised components to the horsebox bodybuilding industry and the retail aftermarket for nearly 20 years. As a growing, family-run business, we pride ourselves on providing quality products and excellent customer service. No two days are ever the same, and we're looking for someone who enjoys a varied, hands-on role to join our friendly team.
The Role
In this varied role we're looking for a Warehouse & Operations Assistant to support both our warehouse and office operations. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, is organised, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.
One minute you could be picking and packing customer orders in the warehouse, the next answering the phone, processing customer orders or supporting the office team. You'll become an important part of a small business where everyone works together to keep things running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Picking, packing and wrapping customer orders.
- Booking parcel collections with courier companies.
- Creating purchase orders and delivery paperwork.
- Managing stock and helping to keep the warehouse organised.
- Answering incoming telephone calls.
- Taking customer orders over the phone.
- Assisting customers with enquiries and providing excellent customer service.
- General office administration and supporting the sales team.
There may occasionally be opportunities to assist with local collections or deliveries in one of our company vans to provide additional support to the team. However, this is only an occasional requirement.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, enthusiastic and time efficient.
- Organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Happy to work in both a warehouse and office environment.
- Confident speaking to customers on the telephone as well as face to face at our Trade counter.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Keen to learn and willing to get involved in all aspects of the business.
Essential
- Grade 4 (C) GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Reliable transport to travel to and from work due to our rural location.
Desirable
- Previous warehouse, administration or customer service experience.
- Experience using ERP systems such as Erplain (although full training will be provided).
What We Offer
- Full training and ongoing support.
- A varied role where no two days are the same.
- The opportunity to learn all areas of the business.
- A friendly, supportive and welcoming team.
- Company pension.
- On site/Free Parking
- The opportunity to grow with an established and expanding business.
