Role Overview
As an Electrical Assembly Technician, you will be part of a skilled production team responsible for assembling high-quality, technically complex systems. Working closely with Manufacturing Engineers and R&D teams, you will play a key role in building next-generation products while supporting testing, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and wire electrical panels, control boxes, and sub-assemblies in line with engineering drawings and schematics

Install electrical components such as relays, switches, circuit breakers, and terminal blocks

Perform testing including continuity, insulation resistance, and functional checks

Identify and resolve wiring faults, discrepancies, and build issues during assembly

Maintain accurate documentation of build activities, test results, and any modifications

Work in accordance with ISO9001 quality standards and company procedures

Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve technical issues

Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace in line with 5S principles

Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline

Proven experience in electrical or electro-mechanical assembly

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings

Competence in using hand tools, crimping tools, and soldering equipment

Good understanding of electrical safety standards and best practices

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Desirable

IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification (cable and wire harness standards)

Experience in control panel building, PLC wiring, or control systems

Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments
