Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Translator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating a variety of documents and communications across multiple languages, ensuring accuracy and cultural appropriateness. Responsibilities
- Translate documents, reports, and communications from source language to target language with precision and cultural sensitivity.
- Review and proofread translations to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to organisational standards.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to clarify terminology and context for complex or specialised content.
- Maintain glossaries, translation memories, and other reference materials to ensure consistency across projects.
- Assist in the development of multilingual content strategies and localisation processes.
- Support junior translators by providing guidance, mentorship, and quality assurance checks.
- Manage multiple translation projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising quality.
- Utilise translation software and tools effectively to optimise workflow efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience as a professional translator, preferably in a senior or lead capacity.
- Multilingual proficiency with bilingual capabilities in English plus at least one additional language; fluency in multiple languages is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of translation techniques, localisation practices, and cultural nuances.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
- Proficiency in typing with high accuracy and speed; familiarity with CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools is advantageous.
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Prior experience working within international organisations or on cross-cultural projects is preferred but not essential.

Pay: £40,000.00-£75,000.00 per year
