Grant's Electrical Solutions Ltd is one of the fastest growing electrical contractors in the South West. Based in Newton Abbot, we deliver domestic, commercial and industrial electrical installation across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset, with national work on top. We are NICEIC registered, CHAS accredited, OZEV approved, and approved installers for Pod Point and Ohme.
We are growing quickly across EV charging infrastructure, solar PV and renewables, and general electrical commercial contracts, and we are building the team to match. Our long term plan is to be the largest electrical firm in the South West. This is a role for someone who wants to grow with that.
The role
We are looking for an experienced Lead Electrician to act as Qualified Supervisor for the business. You will be our main electrciian on site doing the electrical work, take technical ownership of our work, maintain our certification standards, supervise and mentor operatives, and be the person the team turns to on site.
Key responsibilities
- Act as Qualified Supervisor under our NICEIC registration and maintain compliance with scheme requirements
- Oversee installation, inspection, testing and certification across all work streams
- Issue and sign off EICs, MWCs and EICRs to BS 7671 18th Edition
- Supervise, train and develop electricians, improvers and apprentices on site
- Carry out quality checks and technical audits on completed installations
- Support the team on fault finding, design decisions and complex installations
- Attend NICEIC assessments and maintain the technical document pack
- Work with management on job planning, resourcing and site delivery
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent, plus AM2
- 18th Edition BS 7671 (2382)
- Inspection and Testing (2391 or 2394/2395) (PREFFERED)
- Proven experience across domestic, commercial and industrial installation
- EV charge point installation experience, including OZEV compliant installs
- Solar PV and battery storage installation experience
- Ability to meet NICEIC Qualified Supervisor requirements in full
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong working knowledge of BS 7671 and current amendments
- Confident supervising others and maintaining standards on site

Location
Based at Unit 24, Cavalier Road, Newton Abbot, TQ12 6TZ. Most work falls within 50 miles of Newton Abbot across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset, with occasional national projects.
