Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am–4:30pm, Friday 7:30am–1:30pm. 30-minute unpaid lunch Monday to Thursday. 40 hours per week.
Salary: Real Living Wage, dependent on experience
Duties & Responsibilities
- Fabrication of aluminium windows, doors, curtain walling and other aluminium products to a high standard.
- Crimping, beading, frame assembly, gasketing and hanging sashes.
- Cutting, machining and preparing aluminium profiles.
- Safely handling power tools, machinery and fabrication equipment.
- Working accurately within given tolerances and measurements.
- Manual handling of materials and finished products.
- Maintaining factory standards, procedures and a clean working environment.
- Ability to follow worksheets, manuals, drawings and supervisor instructions.
- Carrying out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
- Identifying and reporting any issues with materials, components or finished products.
- Assisting with other production duties when required.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in aluminium window and door fabrication, or has experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
- A good attention to detail and takes pride in their workmanship.
- Reliable, punctual and has excellent timekeeping.
- Able to work to production deadlines.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team and use their own initiative.
- Willing to learn and develop their skills.
- Comfortable working with hand tools, power tools and machinery.
- Able to follow instructions and technical information accurately.
- A tidy and organised worker.
- Aware of the importance of health and safety within a manufacturing environment.

Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience within a similar aluminium fabrication or manufacturing role. However, this is not essential.
We are more concerned with finding the right person with the right attitude, attention to detail and willingness to learn. Full training can be provided for the right candidate.
