What you'll be doing
- Assisting the project team with cost queries and gaining back-up/validation to costs
- Supporting the finance and commercial functions by ensuring correct cost allocation and running of weekly cost reports
- Variance analysis of actual v forecast costs
- Monitor and tracking of costs
- Plus any other tasks to assist the Senior Finance Manager or project staff
- Interfaces with: Senior Finance Manager, Site Project Team, HR and BB Newcastle and wider finance teams
- Liaising with External: Suppliers and Contractors
- Working with clients stakeholders to facilitate audits monthly/quarterly provide samples of costs to enable audits and validation
- Support the Finance Manager and Commercial Lead in any ad-hoc analysis
- Flexible position – may be project based or office based but site travel would be required
Who we're looking for
- Highly motivated, proactive and practical individual
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and within set timescales
- Thrives in a busy environment and enjoys a challenge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organised and able to work on own initiative
- Review and prioritise tasks with accuracy
- High levels of IT literacy, preferably used Oracle R12 accounts system but not essential
- Full driving licence
- Gain understanding of Oracle R12 CVR (link between commercial project reporting and financial project reporting)
