We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Manager to help lead our friendly team and keep our busy seafront café running smoothly. Whether it's a sunny morning coffee rush or a peaceful sunset dinner service, you’ll play a key role in delivering excellent service in a truly unique setting. The Clipper welcomes locals and holiday makers alike and gets very busy during holiday seasons. There are tables inside, upstairs and outside on our large patio area overlooking the river so the right candidate will need plenty of energy!
What you’ll be doing:
Leading and motivating front-of-house staff during your shift
Ensuring excellent customer service and smooth day-to-day operations
Opening/closing the café and handling end-of-day reports
Supporting staff training and development
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and presentation
Share responsibly with stock management and supplier coordination
Be actively involved in the cafes social media and advertising.
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience in a hospitality or café environment (supervisory or management experience preferred)
Strong communication and leadership skills
A positive, can-do attitude and calm under pressure
A team player who leads by example
Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and bank holidays

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,500.00 per year

Experience:
- Assistant manager: 2 years (preferred)
