Job Title: Event Crew (Lifters & Movers)
Company: The Bowls Club London
Location: Finsbury Square, London, EC2A 1RR

Shift Pattern:

Set Build Week 1

Tuesday 9th June 8am-8pm

De-rig Thursday 12th June: 11:00pm – 6:00am

Set Build Weeks 2−8

Tuesday 16th June (then every week) 5:00pm – 2:00am

De-rig Thursdays/Fridays every week: 11:00pm – 6:00am

About The Bowls Club London

The Bowls Club London delivers vibrant, large-scale social events in iconic London locations. We are looking for reliable, hardworking lifters and movers to support the full event build and de-rig process at Finsbury Square.

Role Overview

As part of the Event Crew, you will be responsible for the safe removal of event equipment from storage, transportation to site, full event set-up, and efficient de-rig at the end of the event period. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role requiring teamwork, efficiency, and attention to safety.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Event Weeks 2−8 Build (5pm – 2am)

Un-load event infrastructure, furniture, bars, games equipment at Finsbury Square. Construct and position event infrastructure including: Temporary structures, Bars and catering stations, Seating and furniture

Games lanes and activity areas, Lighting, signage, and décor elements

Follow site plans and direction from Event Managers and Production Leads.

Ensure all equipment is handled safely and securely. De-rig (Thursdays 11pm – 6am)

Dismantle event infrastructure efficiently and safely.

Pack down equipment in an organised manner.

Load and return all items to storage.Leave site clean, tidy, and compliant with venue requirements.

Requirements

Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting.

Previous experience in event build, production crew, or removals preferred.

Punctual, reliable, and able to work late-night shifts.

Strong teamwork skills.

High awareness of health & safety procedures.

Steel toe boots and appropriate workwear required.

Desirable

Experience with temporary event structures.

Manual handling training.

CSCS card (advantageous but not essential).

Experience working in outdoor event environments.
