Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist the Head Chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus that meet quality standards and customer expectations
Supervise and manage kitchen staff during shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
Support food preparation activities, including cooking, plating, and garnishing dishes
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety standards
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
Ensure all food served meets the establishment’s quality standards and customer satisfaction goals
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to foster professional development and teamwork

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques
Excellent team management and leadership abilities
Sound knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff
Passion for culinary excellence with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences
