About Us

At Excel Plastics, we are a dynamic and growing business in uPVC decking industry, delivering top-quality products and service. We thrive on teamwork and a fast-paced environment.

The Role:
We are looking for a Warehouse Assistant with driving experience to join our busy team. In this role, you will support the warehouse operations by picking, packing, and sorting goods. You will use tools such as chop saws and drills, and assist in maintaining an organized, efficient workspace. A full driving license is essential, and you will need experience driving a long-wheelbase van and will be required to do deliveries. Warehouse experience in a fast-paced environment is a must, and familiarity with tools like drills and saws is required.

Duties

Execute picking and packing tasks to prepare orders for dispatch
Daily driving deliveries, using long wheel based van
Assist in shipping and receiving activities, including checking deliveries against orders
Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse
Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Collaborate with team members to build efficient workflows and maintain a clean working environment
Using woodwork tools such as chop saw and hand tools
Assisting with loading and unloading vans and stock movement.
Maintaining a tidy, organized warehouse environment.
Ensuring timely and accurate order processing.
Making deliveries to customer when needed - Loading and unloading

Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse setting is essential
Driving experience
Skills in materials handling and knowledge of shipping/receiving processes are beneficial
A strong ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated
Previous warehouse experience in a fast-paced setting.
Experience using tools such as chop saws and drills.
Ability to pick, pack, and sort efficiently.
Full driving license and experience driving a long-wheelbase van.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
