A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Breakfast Runner to join our team at the Invicta Hotel, a well-established independent boutique hotel located near the seaside and just minutes from Plymouth’s city centre and ferry terminal. We offer on-site parking and free WiFi, and pride ourselves on providing warm, high-quality service to every guest.
We’re looking for someone friendly, reliable, and proactive - someone who enjoys early mornings and helping guests start their day with a smile. You’ll be a key part of the morning team, ensuring breakfast service runs smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities (not exhaustive):
- Setting up and preparing the breakfast area before guest arrival
- Greeting guests and assisting with breakfast orders
- Keeping the breakfast buffet well-stocked and clean
- Clearing and resetting tables efficiently throughout service
- Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene in the dining area
- Communicating with the kitchen team to manage guest requests or dietary needs
- Washing up and maintaining cleanliness of crockery and cutlery
- Supporting with light cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining area
- Handling guest queries in a friendly and professional manner
Skills & Experience:
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred, but not essential
- Friendly, approachable, and confident interacting with guests
- Reliable, punctual and comfortable working early shifts
- Physically able to be on your feet for several hours
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic spoken English communication skills
- Flexible attitude toward shift patterns and team support
