We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Digital, Data & Technology (DDaT) Information Security team in a pivotal role ensuring security assurance evolves to support the strategic goals of the University.
As Information Security Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of assurance analysts and have oversight of all aspects of information risk management. You will work closely with the CISO, and Info Sec leadership colleagues to help the University achieve required compliance states for ISO27001:2 and research funder requirements. You’ll need to engage confidently with other teams within DDaT and the wider university building trust and ensuring effective collaboration across the organisation.
In this role, you will:

Manage a team of specialist Information Security Assurance Analysts

Take ownership of Info Sec risk management activities including managing outputs and tracking remediation of vulnerability management and penetration testing programmes

Develop and enhance our existing information security processes to adapt to a changing landscape of threats impacting the education sector

Liaise with colleagues within the university on security assurance and risk management
We are looking for someone who:
-
Has proven experience managing information security teams
-
Has demonstrable experience working with risk management, and under IT governance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials

Is confident managing competing priorities and implementing effective governance and reporting processes.

Works proactively, with sound judgement and excellent communication skills when engaging a wide range of stakeholders

This role is offered on a full time (36.5 hours per week) permanent basis.

This role includes a market supplement of £3,500 in addition to the base salary scale.
