We are currently seeking a dynamic, organized and customer-focused individual to lead our front desk team as Reception Manager; you should be able to lead by example, motivate your team, possess excellent communication skills and have a ‘can do’ attitude.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-day operations of the reception area, ensuring smooth, efficient and friendly service
- Supervise, develop and support the reception team
- Maintain reception procedures, policies, and standards
- Assist in training new team members and implementing new procedures as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service and confidently communicate with guests
- Be up to date and knowledgeable on all rates, packages, promotions and current procedures
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure effective communication and guest satisfaction
- Handling of room reservations, check-in and checkout procedures, restaurant and spa bookings and any guest enquiries or concerns
- Co-ordination of group bookings, alongside other departments
- Dealing with third party booking agents
- Handling cash and card transactions, along with balancing of tills
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership position
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- A positive, pro-active attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding service in every interaction
