Full job description

We are currently looking for a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to provide a high level of personal, physical and emotional care for residents in a small, family owned care home. The home is looking to recruit a proactive, passionate and ambitious Healthcare Assistant to join our night team working in a person centred environment.

Being a smaller home, we enjoy a wonderful, low pressure environment. Here, you will always have the time to truly get to know our residents, build lasting relationships, and make a meaningful difference to their lives.

You will work alongside a dedicated team to support our residents throughout the night. We provide a comprehensive induction process, which includes fully paid shadow shifts to help you settle in.

Holding a Level 2 qualification is a great advantage, but we are equally happy to support you in working towards this qualification. If you are looking for a new role in a small, friendly home where you can deliver excellent care and make a real difference, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Hours - We prefer a full-time candidate for 36 hours per week, but we can also consider part-time roles of 12 or 24 hours to suit your availability. Our home prides itself on flexibility, and we always strive to accommodate your individual needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with personal care duties including infection prevention and control, food, personal hygiene and overall reassurance, comfort and safety.

To undertake any additional training and development programmes the home may consider appropriate to enhance your contribution.

Support co-workers and senior staff on duty, acting as a team worker at all times for the benefit of the residents and staff.

Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting / assisting residents with all aspects of daily living.

Taking responsibility for the well-being of residents, including making sure their physical, emotional and social needs are met.

Generally promoting residents' independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the very best standards of care and striving for continuous improvement.
