Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fryer to join our culinary team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a keen understanding of kitchen operations. As a Fryer, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that all fried items are cooked to perfection while adhering to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of fried foods according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the frying station and surrounding areas.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food safety and quality.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for other kitchen staff as needed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during peak hours.
Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of equipment and food items.
Help maintain inventory levels of frying supplies and report any shortages to management.

Requirements

Previous experience in meal preparation or as a cook in a restaurant setting is preferred.
Strong understanding of culinary techniques, particularly related to frying methods.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
