Container Unloader
We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Container Unloader to join our team.
This role involves manually unloading shipping containers at various customer warehouses and distribution facilities. No two days are the same, as you could be working at a different location each day.
This is a physically demanding role, so applicants must be fit, motivated and comfortable with heavy manual handling.
Requirements
- Previous experience unloading shipping containers is essential.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home.
- Available to work away at least two weeks per month, typically Monday to Friday in the Birmingham area.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and good timekeeping.
Pay & Hours
This is piecework, meaning your earnings are based on the amount of work completed each day. The more you unload, the more you earn.

Responsibilities
- Unload containers using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and manual handling techniques
- Safely manage the movement of goods within the warehouse, adhering to health and safety protocols
- Operate warehouse management systems to record inventory movements accurately
- Handle materials with care, ensuring minimal damage during loading and unloading processes
- Assist with organising stock and maintaining a clean, organised work area
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational target
- Support shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely processing of goods
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience and manual unloading of goods in containers is essential; training will be provided for specific tasks
- Knowledge of forklift operation is advantageous; certification is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently, including lifting loads up to 25kg or more
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and inventory control
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Physical fitness to handle long periods of standing and manual material handling tasks
