This is an exciting opportunity to join the FW3 Group, a fast growing manufacturer, distributor, and retailer, supplying innovative own-brand products to key retailers, major wholesalers (such as Screwfix and Amazon), and worldwide distributors along with the general public.
With a strong commitment to quality and innovation, we have developed several successful own-brand product ranges, including Biodrier hand dryers, Quench water dispensers, and Jarder garden furniture. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a practical, hands-on technician to join our team.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and technically minded individual to play a key role in our product lifecycle.
You'll be responsible for repairing, refurbishing, testing, assembling, and modifying products to ensure they meet our high quality standards before reaching our customers. You'll also work closely with management and manufacturers to help identify product improvements and contribute to the ongoing development of our product range.
While the role is primarily based at our office and workshop, occasional travel for installations, deliveries, and collections across the South West will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and refurbish returned products to a high standard, restoring them to full working order for resale.
- Test, inspect, assemble, and modify products in line with company quality standards.
- Support product development by providing feedback and technical recommendations on new and existing products.
- Assist with implementing product improvements alongside management and manufacturers.
- Carry out occasional product installations at customer or company locations.
- Complete occasional product deliveries and collections throughout the South West.
- Provide technical support to customers when required.
About You
We're looking for someone who is practical, reliable, and enjoys solving technical problems. You don't need to know everything from day one—we value a positive attitude and a willingness to learn just as much as experience.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous experience in a technician, repair, assembly, or manufacturing role.
- Experience carrying out fault finding, repairs, or product refurbishment.
- An understanding of quality control or quality assurance processes.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the confidence to provide technical support to customers.
- A full UK driving licence.
Additional Duties
From time to time, you may also be involved in:
- Servicing and maintaining in-house machinery (full training provided).
- Supporting the warehouse and field service teams during busy periods.
- Assisting with product deliveries and collections.
- Providing technical advice and after-sales support to customers.
Working Time Pattern:
Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00
Why Join FW3?
