Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Counter Assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with medication dispensing, and supporting pharmacy operations. This role offers an opportunity to work within a professional environment committed to patient care and safety. Prior experience as a pharmacy technician is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. All positions are paid, including internship opportunities.

Duties

Greet and assist patients at the pharmacy counter with professionalism and courtesy
Dispense prescribed medications accurately under supervision
Manage patient enquiries regarding medication and health-related concerns
Support the pharmacy team with stock management and organisation of medicines
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and pharmacy protocols
Maintain accurate records of medication dispensed and patient interactions
Assist in medication administration procedures as directed by qualified staff
Support patient care activities by providing relevant information and guidance

Skills

Previous pharmacy technician experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy operations
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medicines
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of patient care
Compassionate attitude with a focus on patient safety and confidentiality
