We're looking for a Porter to join our hospital team, playing a vital role in ensuring patients, supplies and departments are supported safely and efficiently. As a key member of the team, you'll help create a positive patient experience while keeping hospital operations running smoothly.

Rotating shifts
7am-3pm
9am-5pm
11am-7pm
Saturday shifts expected 1 in every 3 weeks
- Safely escorting and supporting patients throughout the hospital, including admissions, theatres, diagnostics and discharge.
- Transporting equipment, stock, medical records and other essential items across departments.
- Ordering, receiving and distributing linen supplies, including unloading and checking deliveries, topping up stock levels and collecting dirty linen.
- Carrying out specimen collections throughout the day.
- Accepting deliveries and ensuring goods are stored safely and appropriately.
- Following infection prevention, manual handling, health and safety and data protection procedures at all times.
- Supporting colleagues across the hospital to maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives, audits and ongoing service development.

- A good standard of education with strong literacy and numeracy skills.
- Previous experience in a porter, facilities, healthcare support or customer-facing role.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional approach.
- A caring, compassionate attitude with the ability to support patients respectfully and sensitively.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
- The ability to work independently while also being a valued team player.
- A flexible, positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop within the role.
- An understanding of customer care, health and safety and the importance of confidentiality within a healthcare environment.
