Head of Marketing

As we continue to grow, we're looking for an exceptional Head of Marketing to lead our talented marketing team, shape our marketing strategy and help drive the next stage of Clifton Cameras' growth.
This is a unique opportunity to combine creativity with outstanding organisation. You'll lead a team of five, manage multiple projects simultaneously and work alongside some of the biggest names in the photography industry.

The Role
This is a varied, fast-paced leadership role where no two days are the same.
One day you could be planning a major product launch with Nikon, Sony or Canon. The next you'll be coordinating content creation, preparing a Black Friday campaign, reviewing website promotions or ensuring manufacturer marketing commitments are delivered accurately and on time.
You'll be responsible for the overall direction and performance of the marketing department, balancing strategic planning with day-to-day delivery to ensure marketing activity contributes directly to Clifton Cameras' commercial success.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership
- Lead, inspire and develop a team of five marketing professionals.
- Hold regular team meetings and one-to-ones.
- Delegate work effectively, balancing workloads across the team.
- Foster a collaborative, positive and high-performing culture.
- Coach and develop individuals to help them reach their full potential.
Marketing Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute Clifton Cameras' marketing strategy alongside the Directors.
- Own and manage the company-wide marketing calendar.
- Plan campaigns well in advance, ensuring deadlines are achieved.
- Coordinate all promotional activity across the business.
- Manage seasonal campaigns including Black Friday, Christmas, January Sales and major product launches.
- Ensure all marketing activity aligns with wider business objectives and commercial priorities.
Content & Creative
- Oversee the planning and production of content across YouTube, social media, email marketing, blogs and our website.
- Work with the team to develop fresh, engaging and commercially effective content ideas.
- Ensure all creative output reflects the Clifton Cameras brand and is delivered to an exceptional standard.
- Continue to evolve the creative direction of the business.
Brand & Supplier Relationships
- Build strong relationships with our buying team and leading manufacturers including Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, OM System and many more.
- Coordinate manufacturer campaigns and promotional activity.
- Manage supplier marketing schedules and rebate commitments.
- Ensure all manufacturer requirements are delivered accurately, on time and fully evidenced where required.
- Identify opportunities to maximise supplier marketing support and commercial opportunities.
Website & Campaign Management
- Oversee website promotions, homepage updates and campaign landing pages.
- Coordinate weekly email marketing campaigns and promotional mailers.
- Ensure campaigns remain accurate, commercially effective and are delivered on schedule.
- Implement, monitor and regularly review Meta advertising campaigns.
- Ensure all website content remains accurate, engaging and commercially effective.
Commercial Performance & Reporting
- Monitor and report on marketing performance across all channels.
- Analyse campaign effectiveness, customer engagement and commercial performance.
- Measure return on investment and provide data driven recommendations.
- Use reporting and analytics to continually improve campaign performance and support business growth.
- Regularly review marketing activity to ensure objectives and supplier commitments are being achieved.

- Commercial awareness with the ability to interpret marketing data and make informed decisions.
- Confidence managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- A creative mindset and genuine passion for producing outstanding work.
Desirable
- Knowledge of photography, videography or the imaging industry.
- Experience working within retail or e-commerce.
- Experience working with premium consumer brands.
- Experience with marketing platforms such as Klaviyo, Metricool, SEMrush and Shopify.
- Experience implementing and managing Meta advertising campaigns.
- Experience working with brand ambassadors, creators or influencers.
- Strong understanding of YouTube, social media and content marketing.
- Experience using project management systems.
