Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting 19 litre bottles of spring water and water coolers efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries throughout London and Home counties. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to navigate routes effectively. Previous experience in commercial driving and delivery services is highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Safely drive long wheel base transit vans to deliver bottles and water coolers to clients and distribution centres.
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations during transportation.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
Sanitise and maintain water coolers on site, training provided.
Keep the vehicle clean and organised, ensuring it remains in excellent condition for daily use.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with a large van.
Valid driving licence for driving large vans with 5 years experience.
Demonstrable knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK.
Experience with route planning and navigation tools is advantageous.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently.
Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
Ability to lift heavy items when necessary, complying with health and safety guidelines.
A clean driving record is essential; prior delivery driver experience is preferred but not mandatory. This role offers an engaging opportunity for individuals passionate about driving and logistics, committed to delivering exceptional service while maintaining safety standards at all times.

Pay: £97.00-£100.00 per day
