Full job description

Slater and Gordon are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our Employment team. This role is suited to a qualified and experienced Employment Lawyer with strong technical expertise and the ability to manage complex matters independently.

The successful candidate will manage their own caseload, providing high-quality legal advice across a broad range of employment law matters. The role also involves supervising team members and supporting the development of junior lawyers.

Key Responsibilities

Advising clients on all aspects of employment law, with a particular focus on:
- Equality and discrimination matters
- Employment Tribunal claims
- Redundancy and restructuring processes
- Employment terminations
- TUPE transfers

Reviewing, drafting and advising on employment contracts and associated documentation
Managing cases from instruction through to conclusion
Providing clear, practical and commercially focused legal advice
Supervising and supporting junior members of the team

Candidate Requirements

Qualified solicitor with significant post-qualification experience in employment law
Demonstrable experience in equality and discrimination work and Employment Tribunal litigation
Strong technical knowledge of redundancy, restructure, termination and TUPE matters
Experience in drafting and reviewing employment contracts
Ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision
Experience of supervising or mentoring junior colleagues
