Full job description

Ultrasound Direct are a national private medical ultrasound group and are looking to recruit a permanent part time Clinic Assistant to work at our Southampton and Portsmouth (Hilsea) clinics on a Casual Worker contract basis. The shifts available are three weekdays as well as weekends on a rotation basis: weekend 1 on Saturday 09:00 to 17:00; weekend 2 on Sunday 09:00 to 17:00; weekend 3 is a weekend off and then repeating weekend 1 to week 3. This will provide (approx) 15 weekday hours and 5 weekend hours per week.

Shift start and finish times may vary slightly but the timings above serve as a good indication of hours offered. No prior medical knowledge is required but being phlebotomy trained or completing phlebotomy training, in order to take blood samples is essential and a requirement for the position.

The successful candidate must have a vehicle and be able to travel to our clinic. The role involves being responsible for the effective and efficient functioning of a private ultrasound clinic. Rate of pay is £14.24 per hour for week day hours and £15 per hour for week-end hours.

You need to be reliable, trustworthy, have good interpersonal skills, be organised and know how to operate general office systems. Eligibility to work in the UK is required and DBS (CRB) checks will be undertaken to comply with regulations. Candidates must be available for an initial phone interview after applying for the position.
