Responsibilities
- Execute a variety of braiding techniques tailored to clients’ preferences, including classic, box, cornrow, and intricate styles
- Provide personalised consultations to understand clients’ desired looks and offer professional advice
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all work areas and tools
- Assist clients with colour matching and product recommendations to enhance their overall look
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently, ensuring timely service delivery
- Upsell additional beauty services such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, or hair treatments where appropriate
- Deliver excellent customer service by creating a friendly and professional atmosphere
- Support store management with organisational tasks as needed, including front desk duties and client record keeping
- Mentor junior team members to foster skill development and teamwork
Skills
- Proven experience in hair braiding techniques with a keen eye for detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport and ensure client satisfaction
- Knowledge of store management practices is advantageous
- Experience in barbering, eyelash extensions, or makeup application is desirable but not essential
- Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining professionalism
- Excellent organisational skills to manage appointments and maintain a tidy work environment
- Mentoring skills to support the development of less experienced colleagues
