We are now looking to recruit an experienced Rail Plant Fitter who will be willing to train or has experience working on road/rail tampers. The role will be based in Doncaster with a requirement to work away across the UK as and when required.
Required
- Relevant trade qualification.
- Completed apprenticeship or NVQ level 3 in relevant discipline.
- Working knowledge of pneumatics, electronics, hydraulics and mechanical design.
- Experience of maintaining 360 excavators, trailers etc.
- Able to identify reasons for mechanical/electrical failure – fault analysis to rectify problems.
- A genuine commitment to achieving high standards and an eye for detail to ensure the quality of work done.
- Experience of prioritising work and optimising and improving use of resources including teams, tools and equipment.
- Knowledge and experience of following safe working practices in a safety critical workplace.
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Able to work flexibly and work across a broad range of activities as the role evolves.
- Willing to train to operate Plasser tamping machines.
Remuneration
- Competitive salary and package, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
- 39 hours per week plus overtime.
- Must be flexible in working hours and responsibilities.
- 22 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays.
