Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Food and Beverage Server to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively hospitality environment where attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential. Previous restaurant experience is preferred, but a passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction is equally valued. The position involves working in a fast-paced setting, maintaining food safety standards, and upselling menu items to enhance guest enjoyment. This paid role is ideal for individuals who thrive in customer-focused environments and enjoy working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive service throughout their visit
Take accurate food and beverage orders using the point-of-sale system
Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and dining areas
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Assist with food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff as required
Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while catering to guest preferences
Handle guest queries professionally, resolving issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
Manage time effectively during busy periods to deliver efficient service
Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm for guest service is key
Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation skills preferred
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not mandatory
Demonstrated time management skills and attention to detail
A positive attitude with a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences
